WMA Roadshow - Arizona

This fall, rather than host our traditional Annual Meeting, WMA will partner with 4 state museum associations to run small, safe, in-person pop-up museum professional development events in 4 different cities. Following local health and safety guidelines, these half-day experiences will include learning and networking opportunities. State museum associations are a crucial partner in WMA’s effort to help museum people reconnect, learn, and support one another in person once again. We are excited to partner with the Museum Association of Arizona for the WMA Roadshow at the Arizona Heritage Center at Papago Park!

Limited capacity: For safety and comfort, attendance will be capped for each event. When capacity has been reached, we will begin a waiting list. Should any spots open up the next person in line will be notified. To ensure your seat, register today!

Safety requirements: All Roadshow attendees must have proof of vaccination or negative test results within 72 hours of the event. Upon arrival, please be prepared to provide to registration staff one of the following acceptable forms of proof along with a photo ID:
• A copy of, photo of, or your original CDC vaccination card, which includes your name, the type of vaccine provided, and date the last dose was administered; or documentation of vaccination from a healthcare provider
• A copy of, photo of, or your original negative test results within the last 72 hours

For information on vaccination and testing, please visit: https://www.azdhs.gov/covid19/index.php

Regardless of vaccination status, face masks and social distancing will be mandatory. Masks may be temporarily removed for eating and drinking while seated in the museum or outdoors. If you have any questions, please call WMA at 707.433.4701.

Preliminary schedule (subject to change):

Pivoting 2.0
With the shift to virtual "everything" in the last 18 months, what have we learned and what do we still need to figure out? Join us to hear from your colleagues and share your own experiences. Topics will include how museums have been able to obtain revenue from online activities, what have been the successes and failures, and what are the challenges for continuing online while also returning to in-person programming.

12:30pm - 2:00pm - Pivoting 2.0 part 1
2:00pm - 2:30pm - Networking break with snacks
2:30pm - 4:00pm - Pivoting 2.0 part 2
4:00pm - 5:30pm – Reception in the Brick Courtyard

Registration cost: $50

A big THANK YOU to the Museum Association of Arizona and the Roadshow sponsors!
